Transport, Roads and Connections

Kaarina is easy to reach by land, sea and air.

Turku’s airport and train station as well as the ports of Turku and Naantali are all within reasonable distances. From the E-18 motorway, you can reach Kaarina with ramps 5,6,7 and 8. You can also reach this seaside town in your own boat.

Those preferring public transportation arrive in Kaarina by bus. Express buses running to and from Helsinki stop at the city centre and Piispanristi stops.  Visitors coming from Turku can reach Kaarina conveniently by bus or bike.

The council is responsible for maintaining the roads, managing traffic and supporting the development of public transport.

We aim to keep all public roads and pavements in good condition and ensure they are safe to use. In addition we provide effective and efficient street lighting and illuminated traffic signs. Kaarina has a comprehensive road network allowing for easy access to rail, port and air services as well as to other cities in South West Finland.
